Day 1: Arrival Delhi – Haridwar (205 Kms. 06 Hrs)
Meet our agent when you arrive at the Delhi air terminal or rail line station. He or she will greet you and then take you to Haridwar, which is about five to six hours away. When you arrive, check into the standard hotel in the city of Haridwar. We will attend the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Peri later, as the sun sets. Likewise, we will go to Mansa Devi safe-haven to offer petitions and supplications. We will then return to the booked hotel for a restful and comfortable night's sleep.
In India, Haridwar is one of the most sacred places for Hindus, where a lot of people go to bathe in the holy Ganga River in hopes that their elderly loved ones will be saved. Haridwar is regarded as the "Gateway to God" and is well-known for its status as one of India's seven holiest destinations. The "Panch Tirth (five pilgrimages)" that include Neel Parvat (Chandi Devi), Mansa Devi (Biswas Tirtha), Kushwart (Ghat), Har Ki Pauri (Gangadwara), and Kankhal—hence the name of the city—are also well-known. Religious sites like the Maya Devi Temple, Darsha Mahadev Temple, and Pavan Dham are other places to visit in Haridwar. In addition, nature lovers who want to go on a jungle safari at Chilla Sanctuary and take in the serene beauty of the Ganges from one of the ghats will find Haridwar to be an excellent paradise.
